5 out of 5 starsI really love Megha's style of painting and found myself drawn to this one in particular. I really like all the bright colors in this piece. When I received it, it was even more amazing in person and in my hands. I am getting ready to put it up right next to my desk so that I can look at it all the time. A really beautiful painting. I love it!

Frequently asked questions
Domestic Shipping
Domestic shipping is free through USPS First Class Package Service! All items are carefully packed and sealed to ensure safe delivery. You will receive a padded bubble envelope. Inside, the painting will be placed on a backing board to prevent warping, and further sealed in a clear plastic bag to protect from abrasion.
International Shipping
Many countries expect the buyer to pay customs duty on certain internationally shipped items. These fees are levied by the respective government and are borne by the buyer at the point of delivery. These fees are not included in the item price or shipping cost. Please contact your post office for information.
Help! My painting arrived damaged :-(
I am *so* sorry if this ever happens to you! Please don't panic. Take pictures of the damaged shipment and packaging, and contact me immediately. I will work with you to get you a brand new painting.
Care instructions
I paint on 100% acid-free, no animal by-products, cotton paper (140 lb cold-pressed) manufactured by Arches, France or Fabriano Artistico, Italy. With proper care, your painting will last for ages.
I recommend archival mat and glass for your frame. The mat opening size is typically 0.5" less than the painting size both width and lengthwise. For example, an 8x10" painting should use a mat with a 7.5x9.5" opening.
I've always been happy with the West Charlton Frame Company, their Igloo Single mat, and UV Plexi glass.
Watercolors shouldn't be exposed to direct sunlight or subject to wild temperature swings.
Custom and personalized orders
Please use 'Request Custom Order' to get in touch with me. I will provide pricing and an estimated completion date. The date will be dependent on my backlog at that time.
If you go ahead and order within 48 hours of receiving a quote, that date will be locked in. If you need more time to consider, that date will be freed for other customers.
If you do proceed, I will begin the work and share my progress. I will do this once when I’m ½-way through, and again when completed. I will gladly make any requested revisions, and give you a heads up if that impacts the completion date.
Once I have your approval, I will ship the portrait. At this point, the sale is final and complete. Unless damaged during transit, there are no returns or refunds.
How long should I expect a commissioned portrait to take?
I put a lot of effort into painting the person and not just the photo. While every request is unique, on average, a single subject 8x10” portrait can typically be turned around in 2 weeks. Please contact me with specifics for a completion date quote.
Will you publicly display my commissioned work?
If you'd like a custom portrait to remain private, just let me know during the ordering process.
How does copyright work?
Ownership of a painting does not transfer the copyright to the buyer of that work. The copyright remains exclusively mine. All my artwork is discreetly signed on the front and back.
So in short...© 2017-2018 Megha Mehra. All rights reserved.
What sizes do you paint?
I suggest 8x10”, 11x14”, 16x20" for custom portraits. These are standard sizes with readily available and affordable frames. If you need a specific size, I’m more than happy to work with you.
What type of reference photographs can I use?
Anything you like! My only suggestion is to ensure the photo is of the highest possible resolution and well-lit. The more photos and angles you can share, the more accurate the likeness.
If you choose to use a professional photograph, please forward the necessary written permission from its photographer.
